A Place Called Home

Upon the clear blue skies, not a cloud in sight.

Upon a green mountain top, I spread my white feathery wings to see the world below.

I rely on my keen instincts to scout out my surroundings to find a place call “home.”

Where is home?

Home is where I could simply be myself.

A place where I could find protection from predators and raise my future generation.

Life is simple here, living among others that share the same purpose in life.

A place called home, like no other than the lake itself.

A place of sanctuary where the sun rises quietly each morning, to guide me through the day.

The moonlight cast a pale soft yellow glow reflecting the water at night.

At night, I perch silently on a tree branch dozing off to sleep.

This is a place called home, like no other.
