As a Bay Area resident and a lover of plants and nature, I didn’t miss an opportunity of visiting local gardens, such as UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. This 34-acre garden boasts of 10,000 diverse plants to be awed of by your human eyes. I had the joy and enthusiasm of a curious gardener walking through this garden five years ago. I spent about 3 hours there taking photos and literally was overwhelmed.
I highly recommend this as a day trip with family and friends. I suggest early morning when they open, especially if you want to see every section of the garden and to take photos. Though there is an admission fee, it is still economical. You won’t be disappointed if you are a nature lover and enjoy a day of fresh air, mental therapy, and exercise.
